Cabinet of Curiosities — Hand-Knitted Embroidered Vest in Speckled Ivory

Part vest, part art object.

Knitted in chunky speckled ivory — flecks of colour caught in 
every stitch like confetti frozen mid-fall. The front is where 
things get interesting: a hand-embroidered botanical motif in 
teal, forest green, pink, and multicolour braided thread climbs 
the right panel. Loose yarn loops curl from the shoulders like 
something growing. Six mismatched ceramic buttons run down the 
centre — purple, green, sky blue, blush, lavender, each one 
different, each one chosen.

A vest that looks like it was made by someone who kept changing 
their mind — and was right every time.
